2. Overview
This website collects as little personal data as possible. Google Analytics is loaded only after your explicit consent. Without consent, no analytics tracking takes place.
3. Hosting & server log files
When you visit the website, the hosting provider automatically processes technical access data (e.g. IP address, date and time, page accessed, browser type) insofar as this is necessary for the operation and security of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). This data is not merged with other data sources.
4. SSL encryption
This site uses SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS) for security reasons.
5. Fonts
The fonts used are hosted locally. No connection to external font services is established.
6. External links
Our website links to external services such as Go&Dance (ticketing), Instagram and WhatsApp. When you click these links, the privacy policies of the respective providers apply.
7. Contact
When you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process your name, email address, subject and message exclusively to handle your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). When you click “Send message”, your message is delivered as an email to info@brazilianzoukfreiburg.com via our own server; the form data is not stored on the server. To prevent abuse, your IP address is used briefly and transiently for rate limiting and is not stored permanently. Alternatively, you can send your request directly from your own email app.
8. Booking & ticketing (pretix)
When you buy a ticket for our Freiburg workshops & classes, your name, email address, role (leader/follower), selected course and payment status are processed via the service provider pretix (rami.io GmbH, Germany) (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).
9. Payment providers (PayPal and Stripe)
PayPal (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., Luxembourg) and Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, Ireland) are integrated as online payment providers in our three ticket shops. Depending on your selection, the data required to process the payment is handled through PayPal or Stripe (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Stripe may process card payments, supported wallet payments and other Stripe payment methods displayed during checkout. The privacy policy of the payment provider you actually select also applies.
10. Cookies & local storage
Your chosen language (DE/EN) and your analytics decision are stored in your browser's local storage. Opening a blog article automatically adds it to the local saved-article list. The filled bookmark on its card indicates that it is saved. You can remove it on the card; opening the article again saves it again. A random 128-bit interaction ID is stored locally for this function. Star ratings are submitted and stored locally only when you choose them yourself. The saved list is limited to this browser and can be removed by clearing website data. Google Analytics cookies are set only after your consent. Technically necessary cookies may be set during booking and payment by pretix and, depending on the selected payment method, PayPal or Stripe.
11. Google Analytics 4
After your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-YHLEE885HT. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It records page views and interactions such as scrolling, outbound link clicks and downloads. On the blog, this also includes opening the overview, article clicks, opening an article page and deliberate rating or saving actions. Only the canonical page path, a technical article slug and, for a rating, a number from one to five or, for saving, the saved or removed state are sent. Technical device and browser information, the referring page and an approximate location are also processed. Names, contact details, article titles and the contents of form fields are not sent to Google Analytics.
Processing starts only after you select “Allow analytics” and is based on Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. Ad storage, ad personalisation and data sharing for Google advertising features remain disabled. Google uses the IP address at collection time to derive an approximate location and states that it discards the address before it is logged in Analytics. Where processing takes place outside the EU, Google states that transfers rely on applicable adequacy decisions and EU standard contractual clauses.
You can withdraw your consent at any time through “Cookie settings” on this page. Withdrawal applies to the future; existing Analytics cookies are deleted. Further information is available in Google's privacy policy and its Google Analytics privacy information.
12. First-party blog statistics
Independently of Google Analytics, we operate a simple blog statistics service on our own server. An article view is reported immediately when the article page is opened. To limit repeat counting, the server processes the IP address and browser identifier only momentarily and derives a non-reversible HMAC check value using a secret additional value. Raw IP addresses and browser identifiers are not stored in the statistics. The same check value is counted no more than once per article within 24 hours and is deleted after no more than 48 hours. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in meaningful, abuse-resistant reach measurement under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
When an opened article is saved automatically, or when you manually save, remove or rate an article, the random interaction ID is transmitted to our server and stored there exclusively as an HMAC check value. This ensures that one browser contributes only one rating per article; a later selection replaces the previous one. A saved article is counted only until you remove it again. Rating data is used to calculate the public average while the article remains published. Only the aggregated view count, rating average and number of ratings, and number of active saves are publicly visible. No names, contact details, cookies, advertising profiles or links to A&F Forms are involved.
13. A&F Forms — event registration & participant lists
We use A&F Forms to organise registrations and waiting lists for selected events. We process your first and last name, telephone number, role (leader/follower), selected course blocks, registration status, attendance and the internally recorded payment status, as well as internal organisational notes where applicable. Only your first name with the initial of your last name, role, registration or waiting-list status and selected course blocks are shown publicly. Your full name, telephone number, attendance and internal notes are visible only to Alexej and Florence in the protected administration area. For internal organisation and contact management, we additionally transfer first and last name, telephone number and registration details to an access-protected Google spreadsheet in our Google Workspace account; Google Ireland Limited processes this data as a processor on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses. Processing is carried out for registration, delivery and organisation of the relevant event on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR and, where necessary, our legitimate interest in reliable event organisation under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Cancelling a registration immediately removes the entry from the public list and place counts, but does not automatically erase the stored contact record. Cancelled registrations and technical audit records are removed after 90 days. Contact details remain stored for the administration of recurring participation until you erase them completely through your personal management link or the purpose of processing no longer applies. Full erasure immediately removes the person, all associated registrations and management tokens from the active database. Daily backups are retained for no more than 14 days, so erased data is removed from all backups after no more than 14 days. If a backup is restored, erasures made in the meantime are applied again.
For self-management, your browser stores the personal management link and, for the “Welcome back” feature, your first name, last name, telephone number and most recently selected role in local storage. The management link is technically necessary for the self-management function you requested; the pre-filled details are a convenience feature. Neither is used for advertising or tracking, and they can be removed by using full erasure in A&F Forms or by deleting the website data in your browser. The internal administration area uses a technically necessary, HTTP-only device cookie for passwordless access by Alexej and Florence; it is restricted to the Forms administration API and is renewed on use for up to one year.
14. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Competent authority: the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg.
15. Version
September 2026 — this policy is updated whenever the website changes.
Terms — ticket & participation conditions
1. Scope
These terms apply to the purchase of tickets for workshops and courses hosted by A&F Studio - Brazilian Zouk Freiburg. Ticket sales are processed via the ticket shop of the service provider pretix (rami.io GmbH). Individual arrangements apply to private lessons, 6 Hours of Zouk and festival bookings. Festival tickets are sold exclusively via external providers (e.g. Go&Dance) — their terms apply there.
2. Contracting party
Alexej Luft, trading as A&F Studio - Brazilian Zouk Freiburg, Bifänge 30, 79111 Freiburg im Breisgau (small business pursuant to § 19 UStG).
3. Conclusion of contract & payment
The contract is concluded when the order is completed in the ticket shop. PayPal and the Stripe payment methods displayed in the relevant checkout are available for the Quickstarter and both Classes dates. Which Stripe payment methods are offered on a particular device may depend on technical requirements and the availability of the respective service. Subject to change.
4. Prices
The prices stated for the respective event apply. As a small business pursuant to § 19 UStG, no VAT is charged.
5. Roles & spots
Tickets are allocated by role (leader/follower); spots per role are limited to keep the dance balance. Current availability is shown in the ticket shop. If a role is sold out, you can enquire by email — if a spot opens up, we will get in touch.
6. Cancellation by participants
Up to 7 days before the event starts, you can cancel your paid order. 95% of the ticket price paid is refunded to the original payment method; 5% is retained as a cancellation fee for non-refundable payment processing and handling costs.
You may prove that no loss or a substantially lower loss was incurred.
From 7 days before the event starts, refunds are no longer available; however, after notifying info@brazilianzoukfreiburg.com, the ticket may be transferred to another person.
7. Cancellation by the organiser
If an event has to be cancelled, amounts already paid will be refunded in full. No further claims exist, to the extent permitted by law.
8. No right of withdrawal for date-bound events
For date-bound leisure events there is no statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (§ 312g (2) no. 9 German Civil Code). See “Withdrawal & cancellation” for details.
9. Conduct & house rules
Instructions given by the organisers must be followed. In the event of significant disruption or disrespectful behaviour towards other participants, exclusion without refund is possible.
10. Photo & video recordings
Photos and videos may be taken at events. Details of processing are governed by the privacy policy; you may object at any time on site or by email.
11. Health & liability
Participation is at your own risk; please mind your physical condition. Otherwise, statutory liability applies; in cases of simple negligence, liability exists only for the breach of essential contractual obligations.
12. Applicable law
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies.
